This document is a summary of changes to my tenure/promotion application since the original submission to the Business Administration Department chair on 11/18/2016. 

April 2017 // Added:

  • Contribution to Student Development, Goal 1: Spring 217 — assigned 46 advisees, met with 42

March 2017 // Added:

  • Service to University and Community, Goal 3: I was invited to speak to the Delta Sigma Pi pledge class of Spring 2017 on our small business, Authentic Safety. 
  • Tenure Main Page: College of Business Dean’s recommendation for promotion and tenure document

  • Service to University, Goal 1: Collaborated with Vernon Bachor and Kubilay Gok in the creation of the Engaged Ethics Conversation. Moderated the event on March 21.
  • Contribution to Student Development, Goal 2: Added letter of recommendation for Sam Edge to attend Graduate School at the University of Alabama.

February 2017  //  Added:

  • Service to University, Goal 1:  Participated in Admitted Students day with Dr. Joell Bjorke – Spring 2017
  • Continuing Preparation, Goal 3: Attended SHRM luncheon to hear Barb Breza, VP of Benchmark Electronics, speak on improving employee retention.
  • Continuing Preparation, Goal 2: Attended Safe Space training on February 7.
  • Service to University and Community, Goal 1: Agreed to be the faculty sponsor for the 2017 WSU Women’s Career Symposium–Pathways into business, science and technology on October 4.

January 2017 // Added:

  • Scholarly Achievement, Goal 1: Updated Research Gate ranking.
  • Scholarly Achievement, Goal 1: Deleted paper under review as it took the journal a year to find two reviewers and they did a lackluster job. I do not plan to revise and resubmit. Added working paper with Dr. Kubilay Gok, tentatively entitled “The Ethics Pause.”
  • Scholarly Achievement, Goal 3: Reviewed an article for Journal of Business Ethics.
  • Teaching Effectiveness, Goal 4: added 4 guest speakers for Fastenal Day, Feb 2017
  • Service to University and Community, Goal 1: Proposed COB graduation reception
  • Service to University and Community, Goal 1: Attended RTP and Fastenal planning days.
  • Service to University and Community, Goal 1: Letter to Zach Orr, Winona Walmart store manager, on the possibility of “Walmart Day” for WSU COB.
  • Continuing Preparation main page: Updated narrative about grants received and status of professional development seminar and exploratory travel study to Scotland.
  • Continuing Preparation, Goal 4: Updated status and location of international faculty development seminar, grants received and exploratory travel study.
  • Tenure Main Page: added student appreciation cards, letters and emails.
  • Teaching Effectiveness, Goal 3: Uploaded Spring 2017 syllabi for MGMT 325, MGMT 317 and BUSA 326.
  • Scholarly Achievement, Goal 3: Reviewed a book chapter for Research in Ethical Issues in Organizations.
  • Service to University and Community, Goal 4: Letter to Zach Orr, Winona Walmart store manager, on the possibility of “Walmart Day” for WSU COB.
  • Teaching Effectiveness, Goal 4: Added Holly Bergler, HR Manager at RTP Companies to the list of guest speakers/co-teachers for RTP Day on March 30, 2017.

December 2016 // Added:

  • Scholarly Achievement, Goal 3: Single chapter review of Kinchi/Fugate: Organizational Behavior: A Practical, Problem-Solving Approach 2e from McGraw Hill.
  • Service to University and Community, Goal 1: Letter in support of Carol Daul-Elhindi’s tenure and promotion application
  • Service to University and Community, Goal 1: Received an award from the COB student advisory committee for being a “create your more” professor.
  • Service to University and Community, Goal 1: Agreed to be interviewed by Deb Block in University Advancement for the COB Engaged Learning Endowment Faculty Video Shoot – Friday 12.2.16
