Recall, if you will, Maddycat’s fondness for competition and her coveted seat on the back of Dad’s Harley. I blogged about it here. Yesterday they took their chili on the road and competed in the 2014 LaCrosse Harley-Davidson Chili Cook-Off, a fundraiser for Operation Homefront.
Operation Homefront assists military families during difficult financial times by providing food assistance, auto and home repair, vision care, travel and transportation, moving assistance, essential home items, and financial assistance. They also help wounded warriors and their caregivers and recognize extraordinary military children. To learn more, visit their website> www.operationhomefront.net.
Next weekend is the Winona Harley-Davidson Chili Cook-Off to benefit Ready Set School, a non-profit organization located in Winona County, working to provide underprivileged children the essential school supplies and clothing to be successful in the classroom. To learn more, visit their website> www.readysetschoolwinona.org.
I’m sorry to say, Mad and Dad were not winners in LaCrosse. But, we got to meet some new friends and chat with some old ones too.
Maddy loves to taunt her fellow bikers.
This chili will be at Winona Harley-Davidson next weekend, February 1st.
(I mean, not this exact chili, but the same recipe.)
Enjoy some of Maddy’s pictures below.
